Featured Travel Photography Blogger: Dave and Deb

I’ve been having so much fun with this travel photography blogger series, but it has to end sometime. In the spirit of ‘saving the best for last’, I wanted to conclude this series of extraordinary people and superb photos with Dave and Deb from The Planet D.

If you’re familiar with the world of travel blogging, you will already know who Dave and Deb are. For those of who you aren’t, let me briefly introduce them.

The Planet D is one of the world’s leading travel blogs, focusing on adventure travel, tips and photography. Before setting out to travel full-time, Dave and Deb worked in the movie industry in Canada – Dave as a rigging gaffer and Deb as a make-up artist. They both were successful at what they did, yet they wanted more. So, in 2004, they went on a trip to Southeast Asia that lasted seven months. Four years and a couple of other jobs later, they signed up for the Tour d’Afrique, the longest bicycle race in the world.

It was then that they started their travel blog, The Planet D, and began sharing their experiences and adventures. Since 2008, Dave and Deb have traveled to more than 100 countries and all 7 continents.

Their travel blog and photography has won many an award over the course of the past few years, while their work has been featured in major publications like The Huffington Post, the BBC, National Geographic and Lonely Planet.

More than 220,000 people visit The Planet D every single month, while Dave and Deb’s social media following exceeds 1.5 million!

I was thrilled when Dave and Deb agreed to send me their 12 best travel photos to feature in this series. So, I’m going to shut myself up and let you enjoy these absolutely world-class photos.
