Is there anything more NYC than a yellow taxi?
My third visit to New York City was an extremely short one – one and half days, that is. About three weeks ago I had to drive down there to get my passport renewed at the Belgian consulate, which happens to be smack-bang in the middle of Manhattan, only one block from Times Square. I seized that opportunity to go for another walk around Midtown Manhattan. This time, I made sure to visit a few landmarks that I hadn’t yet been to – landmarks such as the New York Public Library, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and the less-known, yet superb Roosevelt Island Tram.
Accompanied on my Manhattan stroll by my good friend the camera, I decided to focus the lens on one of New York City’s most famous icons: the yellow taxicabs.
Now, for your mid-week entertainment, I would like to share ten fun pictures of taxis in Manhattan.
