New Year’s Eve Fireworks over Sydney Harbour

I spend a couple of hours every week browsing through my travel photos. I really enjoy doing this. As I said before, photos can take you back to certain moments and places.

And that is exactly what happened when I was writing the last Photo of the Week post. That photo did take me all the way back to Sydney.

Sydney was the first big city I ever visited on my own. On top of that, it also was my first time on another continent. And I absolutely loved it. The weather, people, architecture, nature, relaxed atmosphere, history, nightlife,… It is the perfect combination. I loved the city so much I went back twice. The first time was to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s. I had spent the previous month working my butt off on fruit and vegetable farms in Victoria to make sure I could afford going back, but it was totally worth it.

So, when I was browsing through my collection of photos and reminiscing about my time in Sydney during the holidays, I happened to stumble upon this video I made of the fireworks over the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
