One Year Ago

Exactly one year ago today I left for what would become one of the greatest things I have ever done. On April 1 2013 I set off to cycle to the North Cape and back.

During that journey I took a couple of photos of myself each day. I wasn’t really planning on doing anything with them, but I did eventually decide to make a short video compilation of those photos.

You can watch my hair grow in the video below!

(If you’re reading this via email, you can click here to watch the video.)

In case you didn’t follow me yet back then, or in case you just want to read it all over again, my Cycling to the North Cape page will give you a nice overview of all the blog posts I’ve written about those 85 days on my bicycle.

I’m also still in the process of writing my book, although that has been put on hold due to other more important matters.

  • Wow okay so I watched the video the first time going “damn where is the awesome music” before realizing I had my speakers turned off, whoops. So then I watched it a second time. Not only a great song but also a cool compilation of selfies. I’ve never been a fan of taking photos of myself (I know what I look like lol) but started doing the same thing last year in preparation of one-day doing a long-term compilation video such as this.

Also it reminded me of some of your original posts from back then, back when I first started following your blog / adventures. Look how far you’ve come already! Cheers to the next year 🙂
