Tasmania: A Photo Reportage

I’ve made no secret of the fact that Tasmania was, and still is, my favorite place in Australia. Our road trip around the island took exactly two weeks, the perfect amount of time to see pretty much everything there is to see, without a rush.

I don’t even know where to start if I wanted to describe the beautiful landscapes and nature we saw, the great people we met and the things we did. So this time, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!

I do want to say one thing though. The abundance of wildlife in Tasmania is truely incredible. I saw wallabies, kangaroos, pademelons, possums, echidnas, dolphins, lots and lots of birds, skinks, lizards and even a scorpion (on my backpack!). And I’m definitely forgetting some right now.

It was an amazing time and I will be going back there some day. Even though we got to see all the highlights, there still is one thing I absolutely want to do: hiking the Overland Track, one of the greatest wilderness treks on the planet.
