1. San Camp – Makgadikgadi Pans
San Camp is one of the most visually pleasing camps in Africa – its large white Moroccan style desert tents overlook the vast salt pans and feel cool and luxurious. The antique furniture that adorns every area is romantic and quirky and the activities here will blow you away. Potential activities include walking with Africa’s oldest tribe, the San bushmen, meeting habituated meerkats and quad biking across the pans.
2. Uncharted Africa Mobile Safari – Okavango Delta and anywhere you like
This luxury tented camp is put up just for you, which means you can plan the route of your luxury safari with your own Africa expert based on what you want to see and where the game is at the time of year you are travelling. Your tent is made up of real campaign furniture used by the first great explorers.
3. Machaba Camp – Khwai, Okavango Delta
Machaba Camp is actually very economical, but has been using such comfortable and inviting fabrics and décor that you will relax as soon as you arrive. This intimate tented camp is all about the wildlife and you will not be disappointed when staying in the Khwai area.
4. Selinda Explore – Selinda, Northern Okavango Delta
Selinda Explore has to be taken on an exclusive use basis and is for walking and canoeing safaris only – this luxury tented camp is so spoiling you’ll never want to leave and you’ll be amazed how different the area around camp feels, simply because there are no vehicles there to disturb the peace.
5. Camp Kahalari – Kalahari, Botswana
Camp Kalahari is the sister camp of San and is based on the border of the Makgadikgadi Pans – this intimate and friendly camp will not break the bank but has a quirky and inviting nature which will mean you’ll never want to leave.
