About Outdoor Asian

Outdoor Asian aims to “create a diverse and inclusive community of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the outdoors.”

To do so, different chapters organize local trips and workshops to inspire people to enjoy the outdoors. The organization also utilizes its online presence to amplify stories and histories of its diverse communities, while also working to create future leaders in the recreational and environmental sectors.

All their work is grounded in five key values: equity, advocacy, representation, stewardship, education and community.

Whether in real life or virtually on the internet, Outdoor Asian’s family is excited to celebrate an outdoor-focused life with their communities.

There are plenty of opportunities to socialize, meet other outdoorsy folks and connect at gatherings that range from events and outings to food nights, meetups and volunteer days.

Currently, the organization has chapters in five U.S. states: California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado and Vermont.
